On the afternoon of December 20^th, 2022, the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark worked with Huu Lung High School on school projects in Lang Son Geopark in 2023. Attending and chairing the meeting was Mrs. Pham Thi Huong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark; officials of the Management Board; teachers of Foreign Language Department and students of Huu Lung high school.

At the meeting, Mrs. Pham Thi Huong summarized public awareness raising activities in schools of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark in 2022, introducing Lang Son Geopark and UNESCO Global Geoparks. She highly appreciated the companionship and positive contributions of Huu Lung High School in building and developing Lang Son Geopark in 2022. Representatives of the school introduced students' projects in Lang Son Geopark in 2023 such as the project of building a volunteer team to clean scenic spots in combination with displaying and selling tourism and local products at tourist attractions; building the tour of  experiencing culture and cusine such as experiencing Then singing, đàn tính, enjoying grilled fermented pork rolls, passion fruit syrup, wearing ethnic costumes...; communication projects through social media, building panels and signs in English and Vietnamese; project of “Volunteer tour” and so on.

On the basis of the project proposals, the participants discussed and agreed to support to build the project of “Volunteer tour” in which the students will connect with local businesses and volunteer organizations to bring visitors to the Geopark area, experience tourist attractions, participate in community activities such as environmental protection, free English teaching for children, businesses providing tourism services. In order to evaluate the feasibility of the model, the participants suggested that the group of students should conduct a survey, develop a specific project proposal and send it to the Management Board of  Lang Son Geopark for consideration, consultation and selection to implement in 2023.

Working activities with high schools, secondary schools and primary schools in the Geopark area is under the plan of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark to survey the status of heritage and tourist sites and working with relevant agencies and units in the Geopark area. The activity has received the attention and coordination of schools and agencies in Lang Son Geopark.
