An online forum in English in response to International Geodiversity Day (October 6) launched by UNESCO Global Geoparks Network

Implementing Plan No. 76b/KHPH-SVHTTDL-UBND dated July 11, 2022 between Lang Son Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and People's Committees of districts: Bac Son, Binh Gia, Chi Lang, Huu Lung, Van Quan on Implementing propaganda and education activities about Geoparks in the 2022 – 2025 period, Lang Son Geopark Management Board tentatively planned to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize an online forum in English in response to International Geodiversity Day (October 6) launched by UNESCO Global Geoparks Network as follows:

1. Time: 14:00 - 17:00, October 6, 2022 (Thursday).

2. Forms: Online via Google MEET (https://meet.google.com/cuz-cjqt-zwr).

3. Language: English.

4. Element: Leaders and Officials of Lang Son Geopark Management Board; representatives of the Advisory Group for the construction and development of Lang Son Geopark in Bac Son, Binh Gia, Chi Lang, Huu Lung, Van Quan districts and youth groups (30 people) in Lang Son Geopark (fluent in English).

5. Activities

- Welcome address, introducing delegates (Lang Son Geopark Management Board).

- Showing Video Clip about Lang Son Geopark and Video Clip: Geodiversity: Biodiversity's Silent Partner (English).

- Youth groups from districts in the Lang Son Geopark area will participate in answering about 50 multiple-choice questions (on the Kahoot software application) about Lang Son Geopark, UNESCO Global Geoparks, International Geodiversity Day (October 6); 15 questions about Chi Lang Victory Day (October 10, 1427 – October 10, 2022).

- Representatives of youth groups from districts in Lang Son Geopark will present posters or Video Clips (three minutes) introducing five most prominent geological values of the locality (geomorphological landscape, cultural heritages, paleontology, fossils, caves, canyons, natural lakes, waterfalls, ...).

(Posters, Video Clips will be posted on the website of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark and on the Facebook Fanpage "Lang Son Geopark" within a period of 30 days, Poster or Video Clip with more interactions, like, share, comment will be awarded)
