Organizing a tour program to experience geological tourism, biodiversity and historical culture of Lang Son Geopark in Chi Lang district, Lang Son province, Viet Nam
On February 21, 2025, Lang Son Provincial Agency for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion organized a tour to experience the geological, biodiversity and cultural-historical tourism route of Lang Son Geopark in Chi Lang district (journey Chi Lang Victory Gallery, Chi Lang Pass, Chau Muoi Temple, Co Chin Temple, Forbidden Temple, Office of Chi Lang District People's Committee). Participants included the Head and Officials of Lang Son Geopark Management Division; Representatives of specialized divisions under Chi Lang District People's Committee; Representatives of a number of travel businesses, restaurants and hotels in Lang Son city; Reporters of Lang Son Newspaper, Lang Son Radio and Television Station.
The trip helped the delegation learn and survey prominent destinations, including the Chi Lang Victory Gallery, Chi Lang Pass, Chi Lang Commune, and temples and shrines with unique cultural and historical such as Forbidden Temple, Co Chin Temple, Dong Mo Town and Chau Muoi Temple, Hoa Binh Commune. The delegation participated in field survey activities at each destination. At the Chi Lang Victory Gallery, the delegation learned about the historical significance and important events associated with this area. At Chi Lang Pass, the delegation was introduced to unique geographical features and historical relics. Next, the delegation visited spiritual relics, places associated with folk legends, to learn more about the cultural and beliefs of local people.
After the tour, the delegation held a meeting at the Chi Lang District People's Committee to summarize opinions and evaluate the tourism potential in the district. Delegates heard an overview of Lang Son Geopark and the typical of Chi Lang district. At the meeting, representatives of the Lang Son Geopark Management Division - Lang Son Provincial Agency for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion shared information about potential tourist routes in the area, along with solutions to exploit and develop sustainable tourism. Delegates discussed and proposed a number of ideas, including the formation of a "Geotrail associated with a journey to explore cultural heritages" (expected Lang Mo Temple to Chi Lang Victory Gallery - Chi Lang Pass - Chau Muoi Temple - Co Chin Temple - Forbidden Temple - a Coffee Shop or Restaurant - Lang Son Geopark Partner ) in Chi Lang district, connecting natural and cultural heritages, improving facilities along the route, focusing on building clear signs to facilitate visits. One of the highlights of the meeting was promoting communication activities to promote tourism products of Lang Son Geopark, in order to attract more tourists. In addition, opinions also focused on cooperating with schools to organize source tourism programs for students, encouraging the development of spiritual tourism products suitable for domestic tourists and building community tours and cultural experience activities for international visitors. These solutions aim to raise awareness of sustainable tourism development and effectively exploit the cultural and ecological resources of Chi Lang district.
Through the experiential tour, the program contributed to raising awareness of tourism businesses about local tourism potential, promoting cooperation between tourism businesses, and strongly promoting the unique of Chi Lang district, especially factors related to geology, biodiversity, history and culture.
