Signing the coordination program between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committees of the districts in Lang Son Geopark
On July 11, 2022, within the framework of the meeting to evaluate the results of the first six months of the year, to implement the tasks of the last six months of 2022 of the Steering Committee for Construction of Lang Son Global Geopark, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a coordination program to promote propaganda and education on Geoparks for the period 2022-2025 with the People’s Committees of Districts: Bac Son, Binh Gia, Chi Lang, Huu Lung, Van Quan. Witnessing the Signing Ceremony were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Construction of Lang Son Global Geopark, members of the Steering Committee, leaders and officials of Lang Son Geopark Management Board.

Purpose of the program to coordinate propaganda and education on Geoparks in the period of 2022-2025:
- Concretize the task of "Building and implementing a program to raise public awareness about Heritages and Lang Son Geopark" in the Project on establishment, construction and development of Lang Son Geopark in the period 2021 - 2025.
- Strengthening public propaganda and education about Geoparks in the period of 2022 - 2025.
- Raising awareness of the people in the Geopark about the issues that the national and global community and society are facing such as environmental pollution, climate change, conservation of physical culture types, intangible heritages, geological heritages, natural landscape and joining hands to respond to activities that bring benefits to the community and society.
- Meeting UNESCO's criteria for Global Geoparks “official participation of local communities and indigenous peoples in the activities of the Geopark, thereby contributing to the protection of the environment and landscape where they live and preserve cultural identity”.
- Building and developing a team of propaganda collaborators and clubs; improve the effectiveness of communication and promotion of Lang Son Geopark to the residential community and tourists.
