Implementing the Project on establishing, building and developing Lang Son Geopark in the period of 2021 - 2025, issued together with Decision No. 2386/QĐ-UBND of the People's Committee of Lang Son Province dated August 12^th, 2021; Plan No. 27/KH-UBND of the People's Committee of Lang Son Province dated November 2^nd, 2022  and Plan No. 40/KH-BCĐ  of the Steering Committee for Establishing the Lang Son Global Geopark on implementing building and developing activities of Lang Son Geopark in 2022 dated February 3^rd, 2022. The work of building and developing Lang Son Geopark in 2022 has been implemented, achieved positive results, creating motivation for 2023 and the following years, especially in 2023, the province will complete the dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition of a global geopark

All levels of government and departments in Lang Son Province have actively organized propaganda, popularization, education to raise awareness among oficials, party members and local people, especially students about the meaning and importance in building and developing Lang Son Geopark, protection and promotion of Geo-Heritage in Lang Son Geopark area; promoting tourism associated with the province's Geo-Heritages. Propaganda activities are carried out in flexible and creative forms with news and articles published in print and E-newspapers, on radio and television, direct and online meetings; fanpages, social network; developing content for publications such as brochures and postcards introducing Lang Son Geopark, Lang Son Geopark Newsletter; making a video clip to promote the potential and strengths of Lang Son Geopark.

Lang Son Newspaper published more than 120 news and articles with photos to propagate information and activities related to the building and developing Lang Son Geopark on printed and E- newspapers. Lang Son Radio and Television Station built more than 132 news and propaganda reports about Lang Son Geopark. The Department of Foreign Affairs has released 08 External Affairs Newsletters, including news articles and photos introducing the Geopark area, promoting the establishing, building and developing Lang Son Geopark. Build and publish documents in 5 languages Vietnamese - English, Vietnamese - French, Vietnamese - Korean, Vietnamese - Japanese, Vietnamese – Chinese such as the publication of "Lang Son - potential for building and developing a global Geopark, publications and brochures "Lang Son Province’s potential promotion, integration and development", the publication of "Huu Lung - Exploiting strengths, develope quickly and sustainably" to serve the propaganda work, promote to international partners, domestic and foreign investors about potentials, strengths, development orientations as well as policies to attract investment in general and to attract investment in building Lang Son Geopark in particular. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development integrates information and propaganda activities about Lang Son Geopark in the propaganda campaigns on forest management, protection and forest fire prevention of the Management Board of Huu Lien Special-use Forest and Forest Protection Departments of districts in the Geopark area (379 times of propaganda through local loudspeakers; integrated propaganda through conferences and meetings: 184 meetings, with 13,990 participants;  distribute 3,560 propaganda  leaflets; coordinate to organize the implementation of the movement " Tet  of Planting trees to remember the merit of  Uncle Ho forever" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year in association with implementing the management and protection of forests, planting trees and afforestation  according to the Directive of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to encourage all levels of government, departments and people to actively plant trees and afforestation); raise awareness of people about the role, effects and value of forests, the meaning of tree planting, afforestation, forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting, and eco-environment protection in the Geopark area. The Department of Education and Training has directed educational institutions to disseminate and propagate to all officials, teachers, staff and students throughout the province about Lang Son Geopark. All units and schools propagate through council meetings, information boards and websites; hanging banners and slogans at schools, experiential activities outside of class time; integrating educational and propaganda contents educational curricula at all levels, specific subjects and lessons in order to create a change in the awareness and actions of officials, teachers, pupils and students about role and importance of establishing, building and developing Lang Son Geopark. The Department of Information and Communications has directed and oriented agencies to publish 50 news, articles and reportage on the implementation of building and developing activities of Lang Son Geopark in 2022; Culture, Sports and Communication Division of districts and cities organize propaganda activities in various forms and contents. The news articles reflect diverse and practical activities of all levels of government, departments and localities, propagandize about building and developing Lang Son Geopark in 2022. Districts in the Geopark region Lang Son (especially Chi Lang district) has promoted the work of information, propaganda and awareness raising of officials, party members and people, especially students about Lang Son Geopark.

The Management Board of Lang Son Geopark coordinated with relevant agencies and units to organize about 60 seminars, forums and online working sessions to propagate and educate the community to raise public awareness about the geo-heritage and Lang Son Geopark, promoting cooperation programs, discussing initiatives and projects for the development of Lang Son Geopark; oene English Intensive Training Course on Geoparks to meet the management requirements of Lang Son Geopark (mobilized socialization resources with a total value of about 40 million VND for the course; two Training courses on Geo-Heritage and Geopark for officials and businesses in Bac Son and Huu Lung districts in Lang Son Geopark (about 200 people) (social advocacy for some items of organizing the Training Class, the total mobilized budget is 80,000,000 VND); advising on the successful organization of the Provincial Contest about Geoheritage and Lang Son Geopark in 2022. Lang Son province is coordinating with a consulting unit to conduct investigation, survey, additional research, assessment and ranking of heritage (culture, biodiversity, geology - geomorphology, topography, culture and archeology) in the period of 2022 - 2023 (within the year, the consulting unit organized 02 field surveys in the Geopark area); build a scientific profile of the site and submit it to the national ranking for the archaeological site of Hang Phja Thang cave, Tan Doan commune, Van Quan district; implementing research, embellishment, conservation, restoration and investment activities (afforestation, improvement of clean water supply, environmental sanitation, protection of forest ecosystems and wildlife in the Geopark area) such as Provincial scientific research project "Research, preserve and promote the value of some types of intangible cultural heritage in Lang Son Geopark area".The Management Board of Lang Son Geopark has issued a short-term action plan for management of Lang Son Geopark.

Scientific conference on solutions to preserve and promote the value of intangible cultural heritage associated with sustainable tourism development in the Lang Son Geopark area within the framework of the provincial scientific research project "Research, preserve and promote the value of sointangible cultural heritages in the Lang Son Geopark area"

Working with the team of consultants to build, evaluate, complete the Dossier and prepare to welcome the UNESCO appraisal team. The report of the delegation initially identified and selected 15 potential locations for research and investment to develop destinations in the Lang Son Geopark area such as Na Duong Coal Mine, Mau Son Mountain, Loc Binh district); Chi Lang Pass (Chi Lang district); Tham Khuyen - Tham Hai cave (Binh Gia district); Bac Le Temple, Dong Lam Eco-Tourism Area, Huu Lien Nature Reserve (Huu Lung District), Mo Mam Eco-Tourism Area (Bac Son District); Na La Cave, Lung Pa Pass (Van Quan District)...In the above locations, initially found some geo-heritages with potential to be evaluated of international value. The most typical is Na Duong basin, Loc Binh district with fossil of huge, diverse and unique species of animals and plants living in the aquatic environment dating about 30 - 20 million years ago, having important scientific value contributing to the study and understanding of the formation of the earth's crust and the evolution of plant and animal species, described in many specialized publications and present in many international scientific publication. Tham Khuyen- Tham Hai cave of Binh Gia district, where the life of the ancient upright man about 479,000 - 250,000 years ago in Vietnam (Homo Electus) is associated with a rich fauna with fossils and vestiges of monkeys, elephants, rhinoceroses and so on. The presence of these sites inside the territory of Lang Son Geopark is necessary and should provide scientific arguments to prove the international value of the Lang Son Geopark. The expert delegation made specific recommendations to proceed with the construction of Lang Son Geopark worthy of a UNESCO Global Geopark, such as identifying and approving the concept, orientation for construction and development of the Lang Son Geopark; conduct additional surveys and surveys to 35 additional sites to have enough 50 potential sites to develop attractions and products of the Geopark area; building image, development strategy of Lang Son Geopark; zoning and redefining the scope and boundaries of Lang Son Geopark in the direction of expanding to the area of Loc Binh district; the concept orientation of Lang Son Geopark should be based on two pillars: Evolution of life and cultural heritage (Mother worship beliefs). This is a unique and different aspect that has not been found in two UNESCO Global Geoparks in Northeast Vietnam.
