On January 26, 2022, the Lang Son Geopark Management Board held an online meeting with Mr. Jean Verly, Director of Vietnam Sports and Entertainment Services Joint Stock Company (VietClimb).

          At the meeting, the Lang Son Geopark Management Board introduced an overview of Lang Son Geopark and its related project components (especially those projects requiring promotion and mobilization of international support for the construction and development of Lang Son Geopark), the Geo-tourism model within Lang Son Geopark; learned about the activities of Vietnam Sports and Entertainment Services Joint Stock Company (VietClimb), particularly the sports climbing tourism model in Yen Thinh commune, Huu Lung district; proposed cooperation initiatives between the two parties in the future, especially considering the possibility of signing an agreement to establish a partnership (partnering with tour operators to bring tourists to visit Lang Son Geopark, experiencing the geo-tourism model is one of the UNESCO criteria for recognition as a Global Geopark).

          Mr. Jean Verly, Director of VietClimb, highly appreciates the potential for developing geological tourism in the districts within the Lang Son Geopark area. He intends to connect the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark with units and organizations operating in the field of construction and development of adventure tourism activities such as cave exploration, skydiving, canoeing, mountain climbing, etc. He will participate in and speak about the sports mountain climbing tourism model (a type of geological tourism product) at a number of seminars, online forums to promote and educate the community about the Geological Heritage and Lang Son Geopark organized by the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark.

          Following the meeting, Mr. Jean Verly, Director of VietClimb attended and delivered a speech on "Sports climbing tourism associated with natural resource protection" at the online forum in English on the topic of "Climate Change and Solutions for Lang Son Geopark" organized by the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training and school units. On June 26, 2022, Mr. Jean Verly provided support in training and guiding sports mountain climbing activities - a geological tourism product in Yen Thinh commune, Huu Lung district.

Mr. Jean Verly, Director of VietClimb, participated in the online forum in English with the theme "Climate Change and Solutions for  

Lang Son Geopark".

Mr. Jean Verly, Director of VietClimb, provided training and guidance for sports mountain climbing activities.

          The Management Board of Lang Son GeoPark has initially established a good relationship with VietClimb - an important partner in the development of typical geological tourism products within the Lang Son Geopark area, meeting one of the UNESCO Global Geopark recognition criteria (partnering with tour operators to bring tourists to visit Lang Son Geological Park, experiencing the geo-tourism model).
