The Lang Son provincial delegation went on a study tour to learn about the construction and development experience of Geoparks in Ha Giang and Cao Bang provinces.

From May 23 to May 28, 2022, the Lang Son provincial delegation, led by Mr. Hoang The Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark, along with leaders of the Department of Culture and Information of the districts: Bac Son, Binh Gia, Chi Lang, Huu Lung, Van Quan, and staff of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark, went on a study tour to learn about the construction and development of Geoparks in Ha Giang and Cao Bang provinces.

In Ha Giang province, the delegation worked with the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark Management Board to exchange experiences in building and developing the Geopark, and completing the dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a Global Geopark, and promote the signing of a Cooperation Agreement. They also visited and learned from the experience at the Information Stations in Quan Ba, Yen Minh, and Dong Van districts under the UNESCO Global Geopark Management Board of Dong Van Karst Plateau. Additionally, they surveyed the H'Mong Village Resort model in Quan Ba district, as well as heritage sites within the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark area: Double Fairy Mountain (Quan Ba district), Traditional H'Mong House, The Vuong family mansion, Giay Ma Le Traditional House, Lung Cu Flagpole, Highland Cultural Museum (Dong Van district), Ma Pi Leng Pass (connecting Dong Van district and Meo Vac district), Information Station in Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province.

In Cao Bang province, the delegation participated in a training course for the Vietnam Geoparks Network organized by the Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark in Cao Bang city. The delegation surveyed heritage sites within the Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark area, including Lang Mon Coral Reef (Ha Lang district), Hoai Khao Community Tourism Village, Lung Rong Landscape, and Kolia Tea Plantation (Nguyen Binh district). Furthermore, they attended and delivered a speech at the annual conference of the Vietnam Global Geoparks Subcommittee held at the Kolia Eco-tourism Area, Nguyen Binh district, and signed a cooperation agreement between the Management Boards of Lang Son Geopark (Lang Son province), Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark (Ha Giang province), and Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark (Cao Bang province). The Lang Son provincial delegation also received the flag to host the annual conference of the Vietnam Global Geoparks Subcommittee in 2023.
