On February 10, 2023, at the Chi Lang Victory Gallery, Chi Lang District, the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark coordinated with Chi Lang Advisory Group to build and develop Lang Son Geopark and the Organizing Board of activities to celebrate the Party - the Lunar New Year in 2023 successfully organized the contest about Geo-heritages, Lang Son Geopark and Chi Lang Victory in 2023.

Attending and directing the Contest were Mrs. Pham Thi Huong, Deputy Head of Lang Son Geopark Management Board, Head of the Contest Organizing Board; Representatives of Lang Son Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Chi Lang Advisory Group to build and develop, the Organizing Board of activities to celebrate the Party - the Lunar New Year in 2023; representatives of Chi Lang District Divisions: Culture and Information, Education and Training; Members of Management Board Lang Son Geopark; leaders and teachers of schools with students participating in the Contest and more than 100 contestants high schools and secondary schools in Chi Lang district.

There were three parts in the contest: Ringing the golden bell; Presentation in English and playing Folk games. At the "Ringing the Golden Bell" section, by answering 45 questions, the contestants demonstrated their understanding of geological, geomorphological, cultural and historical values, biodiversity, natural landscapes and tourist attractions in Lang Son Geopark and UNESCO Global Geoparks. In the English speaking contest, the contestants presented one geological heritage or one historical site in Chi Lang district. Along with that, the contestants also participated in a tug-of-war contest and blindfolded drum beating - a traditional folk game in the Lang Son Geopark area, demonstrating collective strength and solidarity.

At the end of the Contest, the Organizing Board awarded one First Prize, one Second Prize, one Third Prize to the contestants and five prizes to the audience (Ringing the Golden Bell); one First Prize, one Second Prize, one Third Prize, two consolation prizes for candidates in the English Speech Contest; one First Prize, one Second Prize, one Third Prize (tug-of-war), ten gifts for the audience, contestants and participants

The contest took place successfully, contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and education on culture, traditional history, geo-heritage, Lang Son Geopark and Chi Lang Victory; diversify forms of propaganda and education on geo-heritage, Lang Son Geopark and Chi Lang Victory in schools; provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding and passion for learning about local cultural values, history, heritage, indigenous knowledge, and scenic spots; provide a useful playground for students to exchange, share, improve knowledge and develop soft skills, show their talents; building and developing a team of collaborators to propagate, create communication effects, promote geo-heritages, Lang Son Geopark and Chi Lang Victory to students in schools, communities and visitors. Since then, improving the quality of education and international integration in the Lang Son Geopark area, contributing to building and successfully developing Lang Son Geopark, meeting the criteria and requirements of UNESCO to be recognized as a Global Geopark
