Dan Lai Cave - Khanh Khe Bridge Site (Binh Trung Commune, Cao Loc District, Lang Son province, Viet Nam) - Site No. 11 on Lang Son Geopark Tourist Route No. 02, is located near the top of Ngo Thi Si's Poem Mountain, Khanh Khe Bridge and Ky Cung River (about 600m Khanh Khe Bridge, about 500m the Poem Mountain of Governor Ngo Thi Si and about 1.5km National Highway 1B in the trekking direction) creating an extremely spectacular scene for tourists to explore. On the trekking route to the cave entrance, visitors will also admire many beautiful scenes that are very suitable for adventurous activities. Dan Lai Cave has two cave entrances located close to each other, both of which are small cracks formed the cliff, so approaching the cave is quite dangerous, it is necessary to set up safety rope systems to ensure the safety of tourists participating in the exploration. This is a dry cave and is located high up, so the stalactite system will not be too diverse but still very intact because it is quite difficult to access, there are still many conservation research values and it is suitable for adventure tourism. The terrain in the cave is also difficult to move and slippery due to the layers of mud formed during the development process, there are also many narrow crevices to climb, so ensuring the safety of tourists when exploring must be especially focused on.

Health requirements: Cave exploration tours often require participants to be in good health and have a healthy constitution. Therefore, if a cave wants to develop adventure tours targeting a wide range of visitors, the terrain in the cave that is easy to move around and not too strenuous. It is one of the factors that determines the feasibility of exploiting adventure tours targeting a large number of tourists. Dan Lai Cave has a diverse terrain in the cave, mostly on foot. However, there are sections that require rope climbing, so it promises to bring experiences to adventurous tourists.

Safety standards: Caves selected for adventure tours must comply with strict safety standards, ensuring safety in terms of terrain, geology and flood water. Dan Lai Cave is a horizontal cave, easy to go inside and quite safe, however, there are still many corners that have not been surveyed and there are no warning signs, so thorough investment is needed to ensure safety. The new cave branch is quite dangerous. If you want to organize a tour, you must invest in a safety rope system, safety ladders and safety experts to accompany you and you are not allowed to enter the cave during the rainy season.

Accessibility: Access to the cave is important. It needs to be convenient for participants and equipped with the necessary infrastructure to support the adventure tour. This ensures a smooth and organized experience for participants. Dan Lai Cave needs to invest in stairs in some locations in the cave.

Khanh Khe Bridge Site has a lot of potential to exploit and develop adventure tourism such as Trekking, Abseiling - Cliff Rope Swing, Camping, Kayaking, SUP, Cliff Climbing.

However, to bring sightseeing and exploration tours to Khanh Khe Bridge Site, Dan Lai Cave, the following steps need to be taken:

First, to ensure the formation of an attractive destination for tourists, there needs to be an overall design (the road leading the parking lot to the cliff with the poem engraved by Governor Ngo Thi Si - this road must be environmentally friendly, as a check-in location for tourists, should be made of outdoor wood, to the foot of the mountain and the connecting section to the cliff with the poem engraved should be arranged with natural boulders and have wooden railings; the floor and railing need to be installed in the cliff area to ensure the safety of tourists, and at the same time, there should be a standing position to see the whole view of Khanh Khe Bridge, Ky Cung River, Khanh Khe Rice Field. The organization of construction and operation of the above items needs to refer to the hydrology and flood water of Khanh Khe Hydropower Plant to ensure the safety of tourists and have a plan to prevent related accidents to ensure safety in the rainy season.

Second, the road leading to the entrance of Dan Lai Cave the Parking Lot to the entrance of Dan Lai Cave can be accessed by two paths. Trekking about 1.5m the Parking Lot, through the field to the foot of the mountain, walking about 15 minutes, on the way there is a fairly large land area, suitable for a camping area and panoramic view of Khanh Khe Bridge, Ky Cung River, Khanh Khe Rice Field (need to be cleaned up, clear the view). The second approach is for adventurous tourists - walking along the cliff overlooking Ky Cung River (need to install safety equipment).

Preliminary ideas for designing tours to explore Dan Lai Cave:

After surveying, measuring, drawing diagrams, taking photos, and evaluating the potential of Dan Lai Cave, the survey team found that designing one-day and two-day one-night tours to explore Dan Lai Cave and the Khanh Khe Site area is completely feasible and has great potential.

For one-day tours: Design one-day tours so that visitors can explore a part of the cave, with a tour guide accompanying them to explain about the cave and ensure their safety so they don't get lost, and provide helmets and headlamps for visitors when participating in the tour and other equipment (recommended: do not install a lighting system in the cave so as not to affect the ecosystem and visitors can feel the beauty of the cave through the light of a flashlight - this is what countries around the world often do). 

For the 2-day-1-night tour: This tour will give visitors more time to explore, it is necessary to design a trekking tour, overnight camping and cave exploration, ziplining down the poem mountain, promising to bring many unique and attractive experiences to visitors. This tour will require higher physical strength and ensure the safety of visitors. It is required to design a safe route and a rope system to ensure the safety of visitors, with safety experts participating to ensure the safety of visitors. In the coming time, the Lang Son Provincial Agency for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion will continue to coordinate with experts, Cao Loc District People's Committee and the Exploration Companies to conduct a thorough survey to propose a comprehensive solution for landscape and infrastructure with the aim of building Dan Lai Cave a unique and attractive tourism product of Cao Loc district in particular and of Lang Son Geopark in general.
