On February 27-28, 2023, Lang Son Geopark Management Board coordinated with KOTO Co., Ltd, Bac Son District Culture and Information Division, Bac Quynh Commune People's Committee to successfully organize training skills in table decoration for homestays in Bac Son district.

Founded in   1999, KOTO was originally known as a non-profit organization. Mr. Jimmy Pham – Australian overseas Vietnamese, a young leader honored by the World Economic Forum in 2011, founded KOTO with the motto "The best way to help them is to teach people to fish, not to give them the fish". Therefore, KOTO actively searches for children with difficult circumstances, wandering and orphaned, carefully reviewing their conditions, identities and abilities to ensure they can attend courses. Not only vocational training including cooking, service skills, restaurant and hotel management, KOTO also helps students with life skills, communication skills, learning foreign languages... With the motto " Know One, Teach One", KOTO has helped and changed the lives of more than a thousand street children in difficult circumstances in Vietnam. KOTO Co., Ltd. has supported the training cost for the training program on table decoration for homestays in Bac Son district with the value of VND 20,000,000. The instructors have carefully prepared training content, guiding trainees enthusiastically, responsibly and effectively on how to set up a standard dining table, decorate basic dishes using 100% indigenous materials (trainees  actively listen and practice under the guidance of the instructors).

The training program contributes to concretize the task of building and developing Lang Son Geopark in 2023, building and developing Lang Son Geopark in order to contribute to sustainable socio-economic development, strengthen connection with domestic and international partners, promote and attract resources for training to improve the quality of human resources in Lang Son Geopark, especially human resources in the field of tourism services; improving the capacity of construction and development of Lang Son Geopark, meeting the criteria and requirements of UNESCO in the recognition of the Global Geopark, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (poverty eradication, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, sustainable communities, responsible production and consumption, climate action).
