May 16 to 19, 2023, Lang Son Geopark Management Board coordinated with the Advisory Team, the People's Committee and the Culture and Information Divisions of the districts in the Geopark area, Cao Loc and Loc Binh districts and Lang Son city to survey the specific identification of locations, land fund and land status at the places where panels are expected to be installed in Lang Son Geopark.

The team came to survey four tourist routes and 46 attractions of Lang Son Geopark at some specific locations such as National Road 1A in Ben Luong bridge, Huu Lung district; Quan Son continental volcano (Chi Lang district); Chi Lang victory gallery (Chi Lang district); fossil site of Bac Thuy station (Chi Lang district); Huu Nghi Border Gate (Cao Loc district); Chi Ma Border Gate (Loc Binh district)… The survey was to review and determine the specific location, land fund, land use status for the construction and installation of panels and the use status of some attractions on four tourist routes in Lang Son Geopark based on the criteria and recommendations the Lang Son Geopark Construction and Development Advisory Team. Through the survey, the Advisory Team has proposed in the immediate future to prioritize the selection of determining the location for construction and installation of large panels first .

In terms of size, these panels  are expected to have an area of less than 50m 2 (6m x 8m or 4m x 6m), or depending on the conditions of each point for calculation and use. In terms of materials and expected form of construction, installation will use type of iron frame columns lined with corrugated iron, printed canvas panels. In particular, priority should be given to integrating content with boundary signs in the districts currently using. The system of panels explaining the sites on four tourist routes of Lang Son Geopark needs to be built synchronously in terms of size, font size, color, route, image, content, site name, impression.

At the end of the survey, the Geopark Management Board received and synthesized the comments and worked closely with the Lang Son Geopark Construction and Development Advisory Team and related units to ensure that the system of panels explaining the Lang Son Geopark area meets UNESCO's criteria and Vietnam's regulations on road signs.
