Surveying and measuring the space of the Mud Houses in Traditional Noodle Village in Van Linh commune, Chi Lang district

On April 22, 2024, the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark organized a working program in Van Linh commune, Chi Lang district to survey and work on the photography space within the Mud Houses, experiencing the craft of making noodle at Pho Cu Village, Van Linh commune, Chi Lang district. The working team included representatives the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark; AfA Design architects; cultural officers of Van Linh commune; representatives of Pho Cu Village leadership, Van Linh commune; households engaged in making noodle with mud houses in Pho Cu Village; representatives Lam Lan Restaurant - Lang Son Geopark partner (Mo Ro Village, Van Linh commune).

The working group conducted a survey and measured the space of the Mud Houses in Van Linh Traditional Noodle Village (perspective design, space renovation); consulted Lam Lan Restaurant - Lang Son Geopark partner on creating a restaurant space imbued with the cultural identity of the Lang Son Geopark area (preparing to welcome the UNESCO expert delegation and opening to attract visitors to enjoy the cuisine of Van Linh commune in particular and the Lang Son Geopark area in general).

The architect AfA Design took photos of the space of Lam Lan Restaurant - Lang Son Geopark partner to advise on creating a restaurant space that embodies the cultural essence of Van Linh commune in particular, and the Lang Son Geopark area in general.

In addition, the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark collaborated to conduct inspections of sanitation and environmental protection work at the Traditional Noodle Village site on Tourist Route No. 03 of Lang Son Geopark, aiming to prepare the content and necessary conditions to serve the assessment work of the UNESCO expert delegation on the dossier proposing the recognition of Lang Son Geopark as a Global Geopark (as directed in Plan No. 39/KH-BCĐ, the Steering Committee for the Construction of the Global Geopark of Lang Son Province instructed to enhance sanitation and environmental protection work at sites along the 04 tourist routes of Lang Son Geopark, community tourism villages, traditional craft villages (cleaning, waste management, using alternatives to plastic bottles, plastic waste...).
