Organize a training course for Lang Son Geopark guides
On the morning of June 3, 2024, the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark inaugurated a training course for tour guides at the Lang Son Geopark tourist sites. The attendees included leaders and officials of the Lang Son Geopark Management Board; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Tân Văn, senior expert and Coordinator of the Vietnam Geopark Network; representatives of several official partners of Lang Son Geopark; and nearly 100 trainees representing the advisory teams for the development and construction of Lang Son Geopark various districts and Lang Son city. The trainees also included English teachers and students volunteering as guides for the UNESCO expert delegation, as well as community volunteers 25 tourist sites of 4 routes within the Lang Son Geopark area (participating in welcoming the UNESCO expert delegation for field mission).

At the training class, the experts shared content related to Lang Son Geopark: Lang Son Geopark - Additional Insights a Geological and Geoheritage Perspective, Geological Values, Landscape and Biodiversity, Archaeological Values, Cultural of the Lang Son Geopark area, and the Geopark Corner in School.
Within the training course, on June 4, 2023, trainees practiced onsite interpretation at various Lang Son Geopark tourist sites, including Tam Thanh Pagoda, Mai Pha archaeological site, and tourist sites in Chi Lang and Huu Lung districts.

The class was successfully conducted, equipping trainees with additional knowledge about the outstanding of Lang Son Geopark, enhancing their ability to interpret and introduce heritage sites, experiential tourism routes, and information centers within the Geopark area. This contributed to the effective preparation for the UNESCO expert delegation's evaluation of the dossier proposing Lang Son Geopark as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
